Disposable Coffee Cups in Kenya: Sizes, Lids and Wholesale Pricing
How disposable coffee cups are sized and priced in Kenya, single-wall vs double-wall, matching lids, and what changes the per-cup cost when you buy wholesale.

If you run a café, a kibanda coffee cart or an office pantry, disposable cups are a recurring cost you can actually optimise once you understand how they're specified.
Sizes are by fluid ounce
Common sizes are 4oz (espresso), 8oz (small), 12oz (regular) and 16oz (large). Stock two or three, not all of them. Your lids must match the size's rim diameter — an 8oz lid won't seat on a 12oz cup.
Single-wall vs double-wall
Single-wall is cheaper and fine if you also hand out sleeves or only serve warm drinks. Double-wall has an air gap so the cup stays comfortable to hold at espresso temperature with no sleeve — often cheaper overall once you count the sleeves you stop buying.
Lids
Sip lids for hot drinks, dome lids for iced drinks with cream or a straw. Confirm the lid is quoted with the cup; a cheap cup with no matching lid in stock is not a saving.
Plain vs printed
Plain white or kraft cups are stock items and cheapest. Printed cups carry your brand into every office and matatu but add a setup cost and an MOQ, usually in the low thousands per size.
What moves the wholesale price
Quantity per order, wall type, whether lids are included, and print. Buying a full case per size beats topping up small quantities weekly.
In short
Decide wall type first (it's the biggest lever), lock two or three sizes, and buy lids in the same order. Everything else is fine-tuning.
